Wellness Appointments
Keep your pet's health in check by arranging regular physical exams. Mason Veterinary and Surgical Center suggests at least one exam annually, with pets age 7 and older ideally receiving two per year. During the exam, we will administer any due vaccines, conduct heartworm and fecal tests, and perform lab work if necessary. After the examination, the doctor will discuss any abnormal findings, conditions, and recommendations to continue excellent care for your beloved pet. We look forward to providing a lifetime of care for your furry family member.

Vaccines
We stay up to date on all current vaccination recommendations and protocols. We will tailor a custom vaccination schedule relative to your pet's lifestyle. Vaccines are safe and essential for preventing diseases that could prove to be costly and deadly to both our pets and us. We use Zoetis brand canine vaccines and PureVax feline vaccines.
Annual Testing
We recommend twice yearly fecal testing for all pets and yearly heartworm screening for dogs; even if your pet is on heartworm prevention, they should be tested to ensure proper protection and maintain product health guarantees. Additional labwork to check organ function and blood counts may be recommended based on age or other health markers and conditions.

Kitten and Puppy Visits
We are so excited to meet your newest furry family member! Bring any records to your appointment and we will provide you with your pet's customized vaccine protocol, check for intestinal parasites, and do any required kitten blood testing. We will also discuss proper nutrient requirements and parasite protection.
