Labwork
Labwork is an important tool in diagnosing why your pet may be ill. Testing will tell us how different organs are behaving and if there are any abnormalities in blood counts. This helps us to prescribe the correct therapies, provide accurate prognoses, and diagnosing illnesses correctly. We use the industry leading veterinary lab: IDEXX in-house laboratories and reference labs.
X-Rays
MVSC uses the IDEXX DR30 x-ray machine which provides the lowest dose of radiation possible. During x-rays, we will give your pet a small amount of medication to induce mild sedation for the procedure. This allows less radiation exposure to our staff and your pet. Staff can ensure exact positioning for the radiographic shot, reducing the need for retakes, and creating the best and most diagnostic images possible. All of our x-rays are sent out to be read by a board certified radiologist, this is included in the cost of all x- rays.
